Mahatma Gandhi has been India’s greatest speaker of struggle, non-violence and peace. The birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, who made incomparable contribution in getting India’s independence, is celebrated every year on 2 October. Gandhiji was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. Gandhiji’s real name is Mohandas Karamchand was Gandhi, but people used to call him Bapu.
